Also, when you feel off, he wasn't being bad, he just didn't know what you were asking for and that's were helping him out more to the distances comes in. Over the jumps you body looks right in place, maybe just give a tad more release up your horses neck, but also not to much of one. Just enough so your hands are lined up with your chin or a tad past? it. Hope that helps! :)

On the other hand, she can be really lazy on the flats. So Fergie decided that she didn't want to go and then she saw the? jump, decided to go and took off early. Since the fall I've been working on getting my confidence back on her and riding other horses.

This is me riding a TB mare named Fergie, AKA The Dutchess. I had only ridden her once before and it had been a while ago so we were still getting used to each other. You're welcome to critique my riding, just please take into account that sge was a new horse for me and she tends to get excited before jumps.

Riding her for the second time only, you handle her very well - there should be no critique to your riding (in spite of bloopers which are common to every rider).
You say: "she tends to get excited before jumps". But, be honest, donīt you get excited before jumps yourself? But in spite (or because of that?) of it both do? very good jumps.
Therefore you should at the end add yourself as a star.
