Over the weekend, the guests at our Kentucky Derby party watched this after the race. BEAUTIFUL MUSIC, MAJESTIC HORSES. Thank you so much for putting? this together. A poster on another website was right about SECRETARIAT - He flew down to us from Mount Olympus. Best Wishes ALL.

These horses look so happy doing what they do best. Running free, and you can tell they are well taken care of.? I love living in Louisville, KY and going churchill downs. Beautiful video and horses.

Beautiful video, I simply love this song and love horses as well.? My Uncle and Cousin are both ex-jockeys. My cousin is a galloper or otherwise known as an excercise boy. He works in Santa Anita, CA and also trains horses for the races. I live in Louisville, KY and I love going to churchilldowns to see the races. The only thing that bothers me is when they use the whips, they wouldn't have to do that if they knew how to ride properly...

What a Beautiful Video you put to yet another of Dan's wonderful songs he wrote & shared w/us. He stated in a rare interview another posted here that he was preparing to go to the Kentucky Derby & wrote this song a few days before attending. What an amazing musician he was to be able to write like this! Not to mention what a wonderful man he was in all he stood for, not only believing in but being active in? so many wonderful things. I'm sure Dan would love this as much as I do. Sheer Perfection!

I grew up watching George and the Sports Machine during the 80's and early 90's. In my opinion this was the very best clip ever aired on the Sports Machine. I'm sure it was one of George's favorites as well.? He will forever be missed. God bless him, his family and close friends........

One of the most beautiful videos I've seen. The pictures of the racing horses and the foals were fantastic. Every time I go to "Bloodhorse" site I check the pictures called 'Here Come the Foals'. It? doesn't tell who the mom and dad are, but I look at those little foals and wonder which one will win.

I was living in Frankfort at the time and already a huge Dan Fan. It was? the coolest thing to see him sing this on TV for the live performance late that night. I wish I could have been there.

I was at that live performance jeffanderson3221 mentioned. Dan Fogelberg performed Run for the Roses live late Derby Eve for live national audience on ABC. What a thrill. I became a huge fan of? Dan Fogelberg that night. I still cry when I hear the song & living in Louisville, KY... I must hear this song each year prior to the Derby. FYI: Thoroughbreds are primarily bred in & around Lexington in CENTRAL KY, not... Western KY as in the song. Maybe some did long ago.

I saw Dan live years ago at the Hampton Coliseum. What a voice! And of course, we are so proud? Secretariat is from Virginia. This video is magical.
