By: amihanning. on 09 Feb 11, 23:54:30 i feel your pain my mare had a huge stifle injury on her back left leg.... it cut muscle and tendons... i thought her life was over but its been just over a year now and all she has is a big nasty scar.. and as you said perfectly sound in every gate... ive had her in 3 parades and rode her into my home town.. shes an awsome? little thoroughbred mare... im soo gladd your boy is doing well :)

its so scary when ... By: animal25lover. on 29 Oct 09, 21:57:37 its so scary when things like that happen, a horse at my barn did the same thing (put her leg through? wire and panicked) and the wire ripped through her skin and tendons, you could see the bone. The vet had to put her down because the wire cut her tends and muscles... Im happy Chunky's ok though, good for you for taking care of him all this time

When wrapping in polo we start right under the knee angled down at 45 degrees angle leaving a tail of about 8 inches, wrap all the way down the tendon (leaving out the 8 inch tail) and when you get down to the bottom you place your 8 inch tail down flat over the back of the tendon, wrap back up to where you started. This provides double support. Do your research next time before you run your mouth...
