Thanks grace - ... By: dano2607. on 19 Dec 07, 07:50:18 Thanks grace - Allira's now 13 and most of this footage was taken around Jan 2006 - so she's grown a few inches since then. Also her & Vegemite now have had near on a full year of lessons/training behind them and her riding & Vege's training have both come along dramatically (where most? of the jumping in the video was over beginners level, they're now going over the Open jumps, which are around 1* level).
It's not fair. ... By: stupidblond428a. on 19 Dec 07, 02:27:19 It's not fair. Your? daughter is an amazing rider! She is 12, an excellent rider, owns a horse, and is better then me!! lol Her horse is a bit 2 big, but it doesnt effect her riding one bit! Plus, at 12, she has a lot of growing to do!

shes not to small ... By: x3mma12. on 06 Nov 07, 19:28:10 shes not to small for horses i used to ride before i got my loan a 17.2hh horse and i never fell off him then i rode a 13.2hh pony and fell off only on flat and ponies are more cheeky than horses so it dont? matter as long as shes safe and learning
she's catching? him ... By: niafitnesspt. on 04 Oct 07, 19:21:11 she's catching? him in the mouth because she's clearly over horsed, she's far too small a rider and too young for that matter to be on horses, get the poor kid back on ponies, it does tickle me to see the kids in the USA put on horses which are too big, what is that all about? good effort all the same, but come down a hand or 2
Yes you are correct ... By: dano2607. on 21 Aug 07, 00:38:02 Yes you are correct she should be releasing & that was one of the areas that her trainer was working on. But heh, given that these were basically her first ever efforts going over most of these jumps there was always that little bit of fear factor in play so hanging on the bit is understandable? - hit a showjumping rail it falls down, hit a cross country jump YOU fall down....
It is now 7 months since that footage was done and her technique and confidence has come along greatly.
doesnt cross ... By: amazingcasper. on 20 Aug 07, 15:02:30 doesnt cross country? riders have 2 realese 2? or just show jumping? like idk
What a cute pair - ... By: haggertyfam. on 11 Aug 07, 11:15:23 What a cute pair - she's doing well for her age? - and what a terrific partner she has in that horse!!
4yo thoroughbred ... By: dano2607. on 11 Jul 07, 03:04:43 4yo thoroughbred yes, bred at a racing stud - but as? far as we have been able to establish he was never raced, nor did he even get to be barrier trialled. We think this is one reason he is so well natured and willing - particularly for his age.
