This saddle is not tight enough. I have ridden most of my life and take great pride in my horsemanship. I prefer using a half windsor type knot to hold the saddle in? place. I have had the leather strap split during a long trail ride and had the saddle slide off the side of the horse. I never trust the buckle as this has happened to me twice with good equipment.
