So, you bring your outside leg back and press for 3 seconds until the horse understand then you press with both of your legs, to urge him. If he understood the signal but just doesn't go, you can give him a lil tap w/the crop. if? he still doesn't go, you have to go back to the trot and start again...

no, you don't post on a canter because it is more of a rocking motion. Usualy you just sit and enjoy the ride with a slightly forward position to encourage your horse forward, or you can ride the canter in the two point position (which is also great? practice to prepare you for jumping!)

They are unpredictable animals and thats what we are prepared to work with nearly everyday. Thats also what makes it so special, because you have to have a bond and trust with your horse! you can create friendships that are endless and they are great to talk to!!!!
