The other way to stop it would be to better regulate the racing industries, as the way they breed is? not effective for creating good horses that will last. I have seem too many Thoroughbred breeders who have no idea what they are doing & breed for racing history alone & not taking into account the conformation of the mare & her suitability to breed, but coz she has good bloodlines they breed anyway & when the resulting foal doesnt make it big, it goes to the dogs etc

Probably the most effectual thing that can be done 2 eliminate the need 4 folks like these is to STOP BACKYARD BREEDING. Everyone seems 2 think that they are? different & that the foal they bring into the world 'won't ever suffer such a fate' well newsflash, chances R fair 2 good they will. Leave breeding 2 the ethical professionals who breed out negative temperment & conformation traits thus giving their progeny the best chance 4 a pain free, happy,& productive life.
