For Pony Club, there are very strict? formal and informal show attire rules, which are all laid out in the manuals. I'd definitely buy at least the D and C manuals now, and just read through them. They're a great resource.

By: xXxChristinexXxX. on 28 Jan 12, 21:28:30 just to let people know in britain a ratcatcher is actually a tweed jacket, you should never wear tails in low level dressage,? a "vest" is called a body protector, children are allowed to wear short boots and gaitors (leather chaps), you should wear white gloves for dressage and it is correct but not compulsory to wear beige/white/canary/tan johdpurs. I just thought this might help anyone from britain trying to find info as we use different terms here :) x

I use one largely because I won it in a competition ;) Plus it's really good for cross? country, with all the hills and such.

I help out at for weeks in the summer with horse camps, and they teach most kids on horses. The horses are all really well trained so it is unlikely to fall off, and they take bigger, smoother steps so it's easier to keep you balance. Also there is no difference in falling if you fall from a horse or? a pony, It's how you fall and how you land. I've fallen a lot.
