A stunning ride by Nicole Uphoff on the incredible dressage icon, Rembrandt. The film quality is quite poor. Let's just say this was a very much loved and often watched tape and it's just about worn out. Still, it's worth watching in my opinion. This is for my dear friend, Frieda. Love ya, girl!

It wasn't rk/ldr the way it is today but it was seemingly where Sjef got his idea for that particular "system".
Not rk/ldr ridden for prolonged periods or to such extremes.
Anyway, that comment is from two years ago. lol. I know now she used a similar type of riding but? certainly nothing like we get to see now.

And how the small of her back absorbs a lot of motion. You don't often see that kind of lower back/abdominal floppiness in an upper level rider. I'm an equitation nazi but its interesting how some riders do seem to prove that function can sometimes precede form.

I believe that rollkur might enhance knee action but? for me these "studies" are flawed because they don't take into account the fact that a lot of the people who use rollkur also pick horses that have extravagant movement already.
