ANY horse that has the girth tightened too much can be very uncomfortable and get into a panic but that has nothing to do with dressage. Do your homework young? Emily.

Or maybe it isn't visible to viewers but a rider could be feeling their horse backing off to a fence 5 strides away & so they give them a quick spank.
