When my? kids are learning to ride, I'll have them wear one until they're old enough to decide if they want to keep wearing one. @Halfpassfarm - I ... By: ChazzieLovesHorses. on 19 Apr 12, 10:24:50 @Halfpassfarm - I totally agree - a good rider should be able to control his horse with just his seat and legs -? this parelli stuff isn't anything special, too many riders these days rely to much on their hands, which is why everyone thinks parelli is so amazing - it's not, the same results can be achieved through normal riding, if it's done well!
QUESTIONS: 1.Why ... By: animalsrawesome2. on 07 Apr 12, 03:52:38 QUESTIONS: 1.Why weren't the horses using their backs to carry the rider for the dressage moves? Their backs looked very hollow the whole time. 2. At 2:23 his horse looks out at the audience and then O'Conner pets the side of his neck, how come these horses aren't weaving all over the place once they realize theirs nothing controling their noses??

it's not parelli ... By: Halfpassfarm. on 18 Feb 12, 23:24:12 it's not parelli training, it's dressage training. if you really learn to ride, the horse is totally controlled with the seat and legs- bridles are only used to balance the horse! If David O'Conner had always ridden Parelli and not just hooked up with him then I would be more impressed, but his and? the horses actual training is from elsewhere.

Here's the bad ... By: megalelala. on 18 Jun 11, 23:37:31 Here's the bad thing about parelli,? great that he's a trainer and that he can do it, but a lot of horses will never be abl to achive that, that dosn't work for all horses. And a lot of people working with horses in thier backyard mess the program up.
It has a bad rap for that reason.
