All the balance comes from the abdomen.? It'll take time. Some people get the feeling for the diagonal rather quickly. It took me probably a good 6 months (one day a week) to feel comfortable in posting trot. I should say that I didn't start riding until I was 29 years old. It takes us adults longer usually. Good luck, and just keep at it. You'll get it
