the saddle fit also. i see a lot of people let the saddle rest on the top of the withers. there should be at least two finger space between the sasddle and the top of withers.

Dropping the reins on? the ground like that is very dangerous, because it the horse spooks and bolts forward, he could step on the reins and get caught or break them. Second, putting the bit against the horse's teeth is discouraged, especially for beginner riders, which is the target audience for this video. They aren't experienced enough with a bridle to not smash it roughly against the teeth. Still a great video, though!
