Olympic gold medalist Will Simpson with one of his entries in the $50,000 L.A. International Grandprix, held at the LA Equestrian Center in Burbank, CA. Will and Black Cherry had the fastest times in the first AND second rounds, but he had a rail in the jump off. He ended up getting 4th place out of 24 entries, and a 7th place on his other horse, Archie Bunker.
After winning the $25,000 L.A. International Open Stake with Cristallo, two nights before, Richard Spooner decided to retire from the $50,000 L.A. International Grandprix after the horse got a few too many rails to make it worth their while to continue. This class was held at the LA Equestrian Center in Burbank, CA.
