These horses lack harmony and energy in their moves: they are contrived rather than natural. The passage in the beginning is completely disordered. Clearly that poor horse is asked to give more? than it is physical developed to and than it would have properly (and patiently) been taught to.

It is very easy to tell (for those who are used to it) in a horse's expression when they are being mis-treated.
In addition a horse traine through fear will never attain this level of mastery... this is high level stuff going on here.
