This is probably ... By: volleyballlibero1996. on 03 Sep 11, 03:00:10 This is probably one of the hardest sports out there (besides gymnastics). People think that you just sit on the? horse. Not even close. Besides track/cross country runners, riders have one of the biggest thighs of any athlete and don't even try to deny that we aren't athletes. Yes, volleyball, basketball, track, lacrosse, cheerleading, crew/rowing, ect. are hard, but equestrian is just right up there with them (but not really western because I don't think it is that hard as English).
@jellybeantelephone ... By: MissReiner. on 07 May 11, 06:36:41 @jellybeantelephone ? I see why you would say that, since there is some western disciplines that really don't require such precision, but there's also english disciplines that aren't on that level, for example english pleasure. You have to realize that reining is the western version of dressage, just a newer version of the sport. Reiners, like dressage riders, must also be in control of every movement, and be connected to the horse in a way that requires complete will from the horse.
