The middle-class Levittown neighborhood of Long Island, once the picturesque symbol of starter suburbia, is now a foreclosure hot spot. The community that was constructed to provide affordable housing for GIs and their families, is now pushing families out due to rising costs of living and a downward spiraling economy. It has never changed. Nassau County are a? bunch of crooked F's who squeeze the life out of loyal Long Islanders for any money they can. The property taxes are criminal and aren't justifiable (Unless they tell you the truth which is to keep black and minorities out of some neighborhoods) My parents retire in 4 years, and they aren't staying.....thanks Long Island for fucking the people that paid your salary for decades.
I escaped Levittown ... By: vichiousfishes. on 26 Sep 09, 05:51:17 I escaped Levittown 8 years ago when I was 18. Looking back now that can understand it I'm not surprised the joint is F***ed. Rent like $1300 for a studio.? Houses selling for $500,000. Min wage was still $5 when I left I heard it went up.

Hello,
The reason ... By: theauctionguydan. on 13 Mar 09, 00:07:21 Hello,
The reason auctioneers talk so fast is because this method of selling can produce large amounts and quantities of goods to be sold in a short period of time at a true valued price. This rapid comunication promotes a certain urgent nature to the sale and ultimatly gains more money for our goods and clients.? I hope I have answered your question.

English Auctioneers ... By: theauctionguydan. on 29 Mar 08, 03:44:08 English Auctioneers are definatly different than American Auctioneers. To me, English Auctioneers, although professional are dry and boring, American Auctioneers seem to have more flair and energy, This energy seems to work for me. Some folks like yourself may be attracted to the dull and boring. what you call dignified I find dull and depressing, not? to insult you, some people are just easily confused and need more time to think about whats going on around them.
