I work on correcting errors in technique, not how high they might jump. James is a power jumper and a reasonable 400m runner. He does not yet have the ability to combine power with speed like Hollis Conway and Sotomayer do. So I work with him on powering and layout. I only see him at training a few times a year as his main sporting interest lie elsewhere. There is no future for him in T&F.
