I'm still on the way to losing some more but overall you have to keep going no matter what. A cure for weight loss doesn't come in a pill. Beer, Wine, Juice and milk can contain just as much if not more calories as well. If you're body has an excess amount of calories then it will store whatever you eat (whether its vegetables, whole wheat grains, sunflower seeds, top salmon, fresh chicken) and turn it INTO fat. It's better to have healthy diet, but losing weight can be done simply by watching calories. Exercise helps too, but it doesn't have to be complicated either

Yes they do look very funny. We should all make fun of the obese when possible. It can be used as motivation to those hippos so they can stop eating so much and start watching what goes in their vacuums (mouths) and they can also start walking more (no, walking from the couch to the kitchen and back does NOT count..)

Woahhh.... 1 in 100 people die during this operation?! ... And it's the most common operation performed for weight loss?? So then how many people exactly have these surgeons killed...? Maybe I'm just not that familiar with surgery stats, but I'm just shocked at how this operation is allowed to be done with such a high chance of death (and probably a much higher chance of 'complications').

If you give them bad habit they're going to follow this on throughout their adulthood too. Fair enough if parents have tried helping their child. But really it should have been seen to before these habits developed. As for 'religious eating' ... Well. What can you do really?

It's their family after all, and who says that these parents don't try? some obviously don't but you can't control family life. Parents of obese kids 'who are obese Because of their diet and inactive lifestyle' should be fined, made to change their lifestyle or as a last resort have their kids taken. Over feeding your child and causing them to be obese is as bad as starving them to death. Allowing them to eat themselves to death. If you think loving your child through food is love, then you need to try looking at things differently. You can't love a child through their stomach.
