I coach a bit ... By: PROFLOP1. on 11 Jul 09, 21:35:25 I coach a bit different than other people coaching seniors. My boys still are just that- boys. I work on correcting errors in technique, not how high they might jump. James is a power jumper and a reasonable 400m runner. He does not yet have the ability to combine power with speed like Hollis Conway and Sotomayer do. So I work with him on powering and layout. I only see him at training a few times a year as his main? sporting interest lie elsewhere. There is no future for him in T&F.
he slows down way ... By: sanderator. on 11 Jul 09, 18:42:16 he slows down way too much near the end of his run, and his steps should be longer.. I would? say to let him start his run slower and build up the speed towards the end, and most of all to keep the length of his steps, and not to shorten them
